We are delighted to announce that Brand X has been signed for ROSfest 2018 as the Friday night headliners.
UK band Brand X is one of the great band of progressive rock, in the view of many the band that defined what jazzrock was all about as seen from a progressive rock point of view. They initially appeared back in the mid 70's, and in this initial phase they also featured the skills of Genesis drummer Phil Collins.
Brand X went on hiatus in 1980, with five studio albums to their name. A sixth album appeared in 1982, but then the band was quiet until they reformed in 1992. A further two albums were released in their second phase, alongside an archival release. A new spell of hiatus then followed in 1999.
In 2016 Brand X reformed for the second time. This latest incarnation now consists of John Goodsall (guitars, synthesisers), Percy Jones (bass), Kenny Grohowski (drums, percussion), Chris Clark (keyboards) and Scott Weinberger (percussion). In 2017 the band have been on a reunion tour and released a new live album.
Brand X is one of the giants in the annals of progressive rock as well as jazz. A true headliner act, and we are looking forward to seeing them perform for our audience on May 4th 2018.

We are happy to announce that UK band Threshold have signed for ROSfest 2018 as the Saturday night headliners.
Formed by Karl Groom 29 years ago, Threshold have been an active live and studio band ever since and has been one of the key bands that have explored progressive metal in such a manner that it has also appealed to those whose taste in music have been more geared towards progressive rock. They have explored their particular take on progressive metal on 11 studio albums so far, the most recent of which is the double album, "Legends of the Shires", that was released through German label, Nuclear Blast, in 2017.
As with many other bands, Threshold has had their fair share of line-up alterations over the years. Founder, Karl Groom (guitars), and Richard West (keyboards) are the constant elements. And as of 2017, they are joined by Glynn Morgan (vocals), Johanne James (drums) and Steve Anderson (bass). Morgan, who was the band's vocalist in the mid 90's, recently returned to the band following Damian Wilson's departure. James and Anderson have been mainstays since 1999 and 2003 respectively.
Threshold has built themselves a reputation as a hard working band that deliver quality performances as well as quality albums. They are a high status band, perhaps even more renowned in metal circuits than in the progressive rock universe, but they have three decades worth of experience and a solid reputation as a band that will always deliver. Threshold is a natural headliner for a festival such as ROSfest and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing them hit the stage as the Saturday night headliners on May 5th 2018.

US band PERFECT BEINGS signed to ROSfest 2018 We are pleased to announce that US band Perfect Beings have been signed to the 2018 edition of ROSfest, and have been scheduled as the second band to play on Saturday May 5th.
As many in our audience will remember, Perfect Beings were scheduled to play for us in 2016, but had to cancel just prior to the festival due to their bassist and drummer suddenly and unexpectedly leaving the band. Perfect Beings have since regrouped, have a firm new line-up in place and a new album set to be released through noted progressive rock label InsideOut in early 2018. The current incarnation of the band consists of Ryan Hurtgen (vocals, piano), Johannes Luley (guitars), Jesse Nason (keyboards), Pete Griffin (bass) and Sean Reinert (drums, percussion). Many in our audience were saddened when Perfect Beings had to pull out back in 2016, and we are pleased to inform that the band is now back in a stable and productive mode, and eager to at last be able to perform for the fantastic and renowned ROSfest audience.
Perfect Beings is still one of the most promising US based progressive rock bands, and we are eagerly looking forward to see them play for us, as well as to see them grow into the progressive rock powerhouse they have all the skills and talent to become.

Hometown Mechanicsburg, PA
Genre-bending rock band from Mechanicsburg, PA. Uncover the secret for yourselves...
Clark's Secret Identity is an independent rock band that is hard to associate with any certain subgenre. While predominately influenced by progressive rock, the band also incorporates the sounds of art rock, experimental rock, and even hints of doom metal and punk.
The band was conceived in early 2014 when drummer Matthew Bankes posted an ad seeking musicians for an original rock project with a progressive rock feel. The ad was answered by guitarist Shane Anthony, a classically trained musician and composer fresh out of college. The two struck an immediate bond over common musical interests and went forward with the new project. Bassist Keith Horning, a longtime friend and former bandmate of Matthew’s, joined the project and the core trio was complete. In 2015, Clark's Secret Identity decided to pull four songs from their growing song list to record for their debut EP. Recorded and engineered by Odin's Court guitarist Matt Brookins at D2C Studios, Clark's Secret Identity's debut EP was released on December 22, 2015 as a digital download. The band's first full-length album, The Promise of a Wonderful Future, was released on December 6, 2016. The album was recorded at After 7 Studios in Mechanicsburg, PA and engineered by Robert Scott Richardson (Hybrid Ice, Cell15, The Badlees).
